From Paper to Pixels: The Making of ZwemcoSol.be

From a paper folder to a website

When ADBV-POOLS handed me a detailed paper folder about their EPDM solar heating systems, I knew I had a unique challenge on my hands. My mission was simple yet exciting: transform this paper into a sleek, functional website. That’s how zwemcosol.be was born. The system itself is designed to harness the power of the sun to heat swimming pools, providing an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution—especially when energy prices are all over the place.

The Heart of ZwemcoSol

ZwemcoSol offers customized solar heating solutions for pools, made with EPDM panels that adapt to different pool sizes and types, from brand-new pools to upgrades for existing ones. It’s not just a one-size-fits-all approach either; everything is tailored to the specific needs of each pool, which is why the website’s functionality needed to reflect that customization.

With this system, pool owners can combine solar panels with a heat pump, giving them the flexibility to heat their pool efficiently, whether the sun is shining or not. It’s all about tapping into free solar energy when possible and boosting it with a pump when needed.

Integration

Building ZwemcoSol.be wasn’t just about making it look good—it needed to inform users about how great it really was. Funneling the visitors to our interactive configuration tool, was the main goal. This tool allows users to calculate the exact cost and setup of their solar heating system based on their specific pool dimensions. It’s intuitive and gives potential buyers immediate feedback on what works best for them.

And then there’s the ZwemcoCloud app integration. Users can automate their heating system, adjusting pool temperatures directly from their phone. If the sun’s out, the panels work their magic; if it’s cloudy, users can still rely on the heat pump—all controllable with just a few taps on their smartphone, or, fully automatic!

The Creative Journey

For me, this project was about bringing static information to life. The transition from a physical folder to a digital experience allowed me to design and develop a platform that’s not only informative but also interactive. Building a tool that helps pool owners maximize their energy efficiency and heating potential in real-time was incredibly rewarding.
